Link: Roller Mouse Red
Nickname: Mac Daddy mouse
Why: Because it is HUUUUGGE.
Cool Factor: 10/10 - You will not see a lot of people with this mouse.
Why is it special? : It is an inline mouse ( you put it in front of your keyboard) that uses a roller bar to control the cursor. The roller bar is the best part of this mouse! The bar has little dots on it so that your precious millennial fingers do not slip off of the mouse ( which makes a world of a difference when you compare it to RollerMouse free3 . )You can use the bar to scroll from left to right or up and down. IT IS SUPER COOL. You can press down on the bar to click, or you can use the single click/ double click button #lit. The RollerMouse Red also has a copy/ paste button and a left/ right click button.
Comfort level: 9/10. I would highly recommend leaving the plushy palm rest attached. If you choose not to, every time you use the mouse you will have to put your hands on the cold metal part #Burr.
Easy to use: YES! I know it looks bizarre, but it is pretty simple to learn to use. It took me about an hour to get used to moving the cursor across the screen. The mouse is also excellent for precision.
Easy to set up ?: Yes. Plug in the USB or the dongle, and you are good to go! You also have the option to adjust the cursor speed if you do not like it.
Keeps neutral Posture: KINDA... So here is the thing with this mouse: It is really great because you do not have to reach to the left or the right for your mouse... BUT you will have to reach over this mouse to get to your keyboard. So pick your poison. You also run the risk of using the palm rests as a wrist rest which can lead to carpal tunnel syndrome. PRO TIP: Make sure that the fatty part of your hand is on the palm rest, not your delicate wrist.
Can you travel with it? : Yes, this mouse comes wired or wireless so you can travel with it. But before you add this mouse to your buying cart keep in mind that this mouse is huge and may weigh down your backpack.
Should I buy this or save my money for avocados?: The RollerMouse Red is helpful for people who have wrist/ arm discomfort from mousing because it allows the user to be in a relaxed position. It reduces strain on the dominant hand because you can use both hands to move the roller bar. I would recommend this mouse if you are experiencing discomfort in the shoulders, forearm, or wrist because this mouse is excellent for reducing pain. OR if you are rolling in dough, because let's face it, $265 is expensive for a mouse.
